I think you might be pushing

Kurt, I talk to Vech routinely and have discussed this topic with him. He measured an Avon 100/90 and an R27 across the rear fender at the swing arm and felt that the tire would be too wide. By the same token, in a past post by Alan Atherton, he said he had a 100/90 on the rear of his R27. The Avon ...

Tires for R26 and R27

Can the Avon am26 roadrider 100/90-18 tire be mounted on the rear of an R27 without rubbing the rear fender? If so, then I'll install the 90/90-18 on the front rim and the 100/90-18 on the rear of my 1966 R27. I have these same size Avons on my 1968 R60US, but in the roadrunner category, and they pr...

Mounting Avon AM26 Roadrider tire 90/90-18 on rear of 1966 R27

The Avon AM26 Roadrider 90/90 is listed as front mount only, but I was wondering if anyone here has used this tire on the rear because the recomended 100/90 is labeled for front or rear mount, but it doesn't look like the the 100/90 will fit under the rear fender at its narrowest place, the swing ar...

stainless hub caps

I bought stainless hub caps from epco in the mid 1980s for my R69S. I didn't want shiny hubs, but something that would not rust so I asked if he could bead blast them to lose the shine. He did, and they were virtually undistinguishable from the original painted ones. The photo shows one of these sta...

side stand

I saw a /5 lever on eBay a few months ago that did look like mine except it had a couple of holes drilled in the tab on the bottom of the stand. Should have bought it for $35. Hindsight 20/20. Thanks for the help.

side stand

The side stand pictured is the best one I've ever had on the five slash-2s I've owned over the years. I wonder if anyone can identify it? I've never been able to locate another one and I suspect it may be a one-off modification to a more common stand. Still, it was sturdy, held the bike at a comfort...
