I am looking

I am searching for the e-mail, but I probably suggested the same about 10 years ago Mal! If you look at most magazine subscriptions, you have the choice. If postage cost is the reason for the higher subscription, then offer an electronic version. The higher subscription fees kills the international ...

Can't described it better

Can't described it better than Mike, just touches side stand.

With a vibrating engine and headers I would think that this would lead to dents, scratching etc.

If it should touch, then great! But just wanted some confirmation as these are brand new headers and mufflers fitted.

GAP

Logic tells me that the left exhaust pipe of my R50 should not touch the frame where it passes below the cylinder next to the frame. Mine does... To rectify this, how wide should the gap be? A measurement from another /2 would really help so that I have something to aim at when dismantling. (My left...

Tanks - just checking

I am considering selling some original fuel tanks. The /2 tank shape is quite simple with a side toolbox and flat sides. But then I have one with the top toolbox lid with flat sides. I have that as a R26. The R69S also has a top toolbox, but with wider sections (bulge) on the sides. Is this correct?

Thanks Kurt and Dave, So I

Thanks Kurt and Dave, So I confirm speedo with ratio 1.2 for mph and 0.75 for kph. Seems to be part number 62128080076 that would match this final drive of 35:11 and give a true speed reading. Quoting from Slabon's book, page 106: "Solo gears for the R50, R60 and R69 were first 11/35; that is, eleve...

Speedo to match final drive 35:11

Would appreciate if someone can confirm the stock speedometer that goes with a final drive ratio of 35:11 This is for a R50 1956 of the which the final drive is 35:11 and correct according to a couple of sources. Veigel or VDO, but what ratio? 0,95? And would the right one be available in km/h or on...

Airfilter housing and knob color

Thanks, I located it on my R50 and appreciate the explanation on the workings. In terms of colour, the /2 Barrington Manual recommends Krylon "Dull Aluminum" and Krylon Grey Primer for the air filter housing. Struggling to get hold of it, only finding Rust-Oleum products on the shelve... Wondering i...
