Re: Need clutch centering tool

As an addendum to this process......Center the clutch by eye. A socket may be useful. Upon sliding the transmission splines home, see if the transmission itself, can slide a ...

Re: HELP....../5 Seat Foam?

Thanks All......As this is not for myself, I have recommended that replacement seat foam be built up in layers, of something like older, foam....backpacking/ sleeping pads. Cut to shape with an electric carving knife.

Re: New Member, new 1977 R100/7 questions

Someone went to Great Lengths to prepare that fairing for your motorcycle. The correct installation, lower units and properly painted to match, enhance the motorcycle. It IS your bike. Re: 1978 R80–7 cruising speed

WIND THE ENGINE UP!
They LOVE to SPIN!
5,000 RPM is fine ALL DAY LONG!
Shifting above 5,000 RPM, will get a small bit more power, however the sweet spot is TWIXT 4,000 and a bit over 5,000 RPM

Re: R90/6 slipping in low gear

A more correct and accurate description would be CHATTERING and/or skipping.
This condition MAY also be attributable to a BEARING begining to self destruct.
Ask me HOW I KNOW....

Re: Condensor insulation melted (twice )

Since my first experiences with points, dating back to 1969 or so, I have ALWAYS been taught to NEVER replace the condenser when replacing the points. A condenser, for the most part.....and we are NOT playing semantics with minimal varations of specification.....is either GOOD or BAD. With the imple...
