I thought about pulling the jugs for new pushrod seals and piston rings as well, but when I get it running, I'll find out soon enough if I need to go there!

Did you just spray it outside (not use a cabinet)?
How much Baking Soda did you go through to do the engine case?

That is correct for these machines. This was a primitive form of "cruise control".
