R69S Air Filter Decals

Here are 2 different air filter housings - Knecht on left with original decal; Hengst? on right.

Can anyone say if both types were used on R69S?

False Neutral - transmission rebuild?

As its deep freeze here in Minnesota, I'll have to experiment with shifting technique in the Spring. I'll report back then with results. Thanks for the suggestions, John

Considering a 1957 R50

Isettaman, I've just finished (almost) getting my '69 R60US to the condition I want. Original paint and (maybe) 30K original miles. The bike cost $4500 which I thought was a decent value. After new pistons, valves, carburetors, exhaust, tires, spokes & slingers cleaned - not to mention the dozen...

Got my 10k original mile 64' R60/2

Technical advice

I've taken the advice of members and torn into my R60 motor with the goal of cleaning the slingers and checking the bearings.

Can anyone tell me what oversize ( if any) my pistons are: the number on each piston face is 72 45

Thanks, John
