Re: Thoughts about rear end drive set, and help needed

Is it at all possible, to calibrate this little pinion, in and out?
Is shimming an option here?

Re: Thoughts about rear end drive set, and help needed

Morning James, What do you mean with "beating"? - I think the language barrier is causing me a misunderstanding here, I apologize. It's a kind of flat roar. Not a very "mechanically" noise, but some kind of a tremor accompanied by a loud buzz. I will try to upload a sound file. Although the motorcyc...

Re: Serial number on Frame

I'm with Chris, unless you have to prove something in every annual mot, like the chassis number.
This is at least the case with the Israeli licensing institutes: I have to show the chassis number so that they can compare it to the registrations... every mot, every year.

After getting tired of riding with my rear end slow transmission, designed to carry a sidecar, I thought long about purchasing a new set, ratio of 35:9. Re: battery drain?

From the VAPE (PowerDynamo) instruction:

Should the motorcycle not be in use for some longer period, please disconnect the battery
(so existing) to prevent current bleeding through the diodes of the regulator. Though, even a
disconnected battery will empty itself after a while.

Re: Rear drive end: Oil find its way to the brake area

A few more thoughts of the rest of the day...
I think I'll take the plug I have now, drill it from the inside up but not to the end, then I will make a side drill that will connect to the first one. This way, the plug will actually be able to ventilate the drive.

Re: Rear drive end: Oil find its way to the brake area

After further thought, could it be that this is because the filler cap that PO put there, is completely sealed?
As far as I understand, there is a need for a plug that also serves as a breather.

If so - where are these available?
