I have this problem also. There are other threads about it, maybe on the bw forum too. My floats float, but the sealing action doesn't seem to work. Been advised to switch to lever top carbs, but I don't think they'll work either. ;) For now I just run it with the petcock off for 20 seconds before s...

I only have 13K miles, but have no idea how fresh oil was kept, and it was stored forever.

I am installing them for the first time (mine is a 1962 - didn't put them on in factory).

Know anyplace I can buy the correct original fitting used on later models?

R60/2 mufflers

I bought my mufflers from S. Meyer in D, but I wanted the throatier horn type Hoeske pipes with removeable silencers, and got the standard headers/cross from Vech. He said they might need a little push to mount to the clamp, but they were perfect. Nice thick metal and good chrome too.

wow, it is kinda a surprise when it beeps for the first time. brushed off all contacts with brass wheel on a dremel. no hard work. ;)

thanks much for this posting - glad to have the original klaxon sounding off again.

wow, i am going to try to fix up my original horn then as well. i wasn't very satisfied when i bought a new one and this skimpy little thing came in the box and didn't even say KLAXON. especially when you're a Klaxons fan. ;)
