R69s Disk Brake Upgrade

I have been thinking about upgrading the front to disk brakes on my R69s. I will keep all the original parts and store them away. Has anyone done this and what hub, rotors, calipers and master did you use. I will lace a matching 18 inch alloy rim to the hub.

Re: 1962 R69s Transmission Oil

Thanks All The transmission and motor were rebuilt by the nice people at Barrington Motors in New Hampshire and I knew what to expect with the shifting because the transmission does not have synchros. Apparently I can't help myself from playing with the R69s, hence the question about the transmissio...

1962 R69s Transmission Oil

What should I run in a freshly rebuilt transmission on my R69s. I know its does not have synchro rings, but it shifts like an old truck.

Re: Need advice on what direction to take my R 50

Do you have an accurate idea on the milage ? The oil slinger service is a key bit that has to be done. Having just completed a 62 R69s full restoration, I can say to do it right is not cheap. Also consider replacing wheel and swing arm bearings.

Re: Bike history

Thanks for the pointer, I was redirected to "hdz.info@bmwgroup.com" on Friday and they replied on Monday. As it turns out my R69s is not a 1965, it's a 1962. I am applying for a new title and wanted everything to be correct as there wasn't any documentation when I bought the bike. It hasn'...
