R35 parts

Look up E. Breindl-Grope, trading as "Omega-Oldtimer." They have separate parts lists and drawings books for 35/0 and /1 (R35s made before, during, and just after the war), R35/2 (made from 1949-1952, with slight changes), and R35/3 (with the plunger rear and other changes, and becoming th...

R35 parts & info

Hi; I've owned 3 of these, and have been around the barn a few times re: parts. One of the best sources, but not the easiest to use, is "Omega-Oldtimer" AKA "E. Breindl-Grope." They have an eBay store. More importantly, they publish catalogs for all 4 types of R35s: the R35/0, or...

r35 front fork/steering bearings question

markaliquo: The plates in older R35 parts manuals are indeed laid out seemingly at random. But if you find one from the EMW R35/3, they made new parts-plates around 1952 which are 'exploded' views, i.e. the parts are laid out in order of their assembled positions. Of course, the lists are all in Ger...

Choosing a functional classic

Hi Herknav90, I'd like to add my two cents worth to a couple of Darryl's comments. Not that I don't agree with them, I do... maybe it's just a matter of differing perspectives. I bought an R35 restored in the Ukraine for $5000 on eBay. All of what Darryl and others say about the risks of messing wit...

Is any of it original?
