Not sure about aluminum heads but, I've used oven cleaner on cast iron heads/cylinders with good results. Spray it on, let it set for a bit, & scrape the gunk off. Other's thoughts about usage on aluminum??

Have got a "stock" seat to replace the King n Queen that came on it. I'll see how I like the stocker after a few rides. The K n Q really locks me into one position on the bike and at 72 yrs old I need to move around a bit to keep the back and knees happy.

1st BMW

Long time rider (going on 58+ years now) but recently bought my first BMW. One-owner '73 R75/5 SWB, 100Kmiles. Runs & rides well, in process of replacing non-stock bits & learning about airheads.
