Broken aluminum shock cover

Anyone experience this failure?. Riding along, heard a big clunk out of the front end, and then safely pulled over. Was able to return home (15 miles) at low speeds. Bike still tracked pretty well, oddly. Looks like a straightforward repair of the aluminum lower. Anything I should know before I tack...

Side Stand Scraping Pavement

So, my R69 seems to scrape its side stand when I lean into a sharp left turn. Not all that sharp actually. Riding single. I weigh about 190. Have the rear shocks on soft. When i ride two up with my better half I turn more gently. Makes quite a noise when it happens. Anyone else experience this issue...

Correct Carburetors for 1960 R69

I've got a late VIN R69 (1961 on the registration, actually) and I noticed today that the left carb is marked 1/26/85, and the right carburetor is marked 1/26/10. In looking at the spec sheet posted by Vech and at another page posted by Alan Atherton, it would appear both carbs are correct for the R...
