Ended up with a 1998 K1200RS, Couldn't pass it up, low miles, great condition and rock solid modern technology freeway ride feels real safe. It will definitely do, until the right earls fork airhead comes along.

Just started visiting again after I sold my 67R69S I took a hiatus from most of the forums related to motorcycles and got into leather working hot and heavy for awhile, but the Earls Forks are calling again. 15 thousand? clearly this seller thinks he has his retirement taken care of, imho it would take another 6 to 10 to fix it proper. I guess if I was rich and had to have it, Maybe Leno will get it, and have his people fix it up, now that he is back on late night and raking in the dough LOL

The 3000 dollar Beemer gods must have been smiling upon you or you got it from a very close friend!. Having recently rebuilt and sold a 67 for 6200 these are some things I noted(just my 2 cents) on the pictured bike. I would find out if the bike just sputtered out or if there was any shrieking rippi...

Thank's, It's a wixom fairing, the tag says made in Long Beach but the model number very hard to read. I had to replace the plexi with a peice I bent with a heatgun but other than that it is in good shape and the bags are craven's with the usual 40 years of wear but the latches still work.
