Vintage BMW Motorcycle Owners

BMW Salis shows two covers and part numbers, but no dimensions. For the R24 thru 25/2 (up to frame 277631) it's 11410052109 and for the R25/3 - R27 it's 11410052110.

Have you contacted someone like Motobins? They might have knowledge of repair sites. There's also Mark Huggett in Switzerland at BMBike.com...he might have some ideas.

Can't say as I've had any problems with the choke cables on my /7. That said, I have seen something like you're suggesting, though not with knobs to pull on but more of a large wire circle to reach down and pull on.

Welcome to the forum! Off the top of my head, east coast, I'd say MaxBMW. They're a dealer but seem to have good abilities here. They might actually just send it off, but you could check with them.

West coast, I'd say Scottie's Workshop in Nor Cal.

That oil rating contains a goodly amount of ZDDP.

The damage to the followers is typically due to running an oil that doesn't have enough ZDDP. In the US, the API code for this oil is SF/SG...not sure what the European code is. Are there scrape marks about midway down on the pushrods? This indicates that the pushrod is touching the side of the tube ...
