Re: Front shock absorber bent

FLX 48 Thank you for the great pictures. I'd been following this topic and I was not sure what part of the attachment everyone was referring to. Now I know.

Re: Fairing wanted

It could be a Camber fairing. I have one in my cellar. It looks just like it. I bought maybe 40 years ago to put on my Honda 400F.

Re: 12v battery replacement

I use a YUASA YTX7L-BS agm battery on my R50/2. It fits the tray, but I put a wood block spacer on the top and secure it with a larger BMW battery strap and also a strap around the "waist" of the battery. It works.

Re: 1967 R50/2 Clutch Cable Lubrication

The arm is just about parallel to the rear of the transmission when I pull the lever in halfway so I think it's the way it should be. I'm waiting for a new phone so maybe I can post some pictures in a bit. Thank you all for the good information.

Re: 1967 R50/2 Clutch Cable Lubrication

Okay, I'll give the EZ clutch a shot at some point. James when you say make sure the clutch arm is over center are you referring to the throw out arm? I'm not sure what you mean by "over center". I see the cable coming out from underneath and the cable is at an angle away from the lower fr...

Re: 1967 R50/2 Clutch Cable Lubrication

Thank you for the additional information. I will go with the suggestions. As far as Vech's easy clutch I have considered it but depending on who's review you read it's a great solution or very tricky to get right. Maybe I am intimidated by having to get it to work right. Plus, there is no one at Max...

Re: 1967 R50/2 Clutch Cable Lubrication

Thank you for the reply. My clutch pull seems to be getting harder so I thought lubricating the cable and lever area would help. Maybe the throw out arm area at the transmission end end would help. Light oil or wd-40.

1967 R50/2 Clutch Cable Lubrication

Should the /2 clutch cable be lubricated? I could not find anything addressing this procedure. I just lubricated my 2001 Harley clutch cable and there is a procedure to accomplish this. Maybe the clutch cables for /2's have a teflon lining? I have a spare clutch cable I bought from Bench Mark last y...
