Re: Mechanic near Jacksonville Florida

I don’t know my geography but I used boxwerworks in Watkinsville ga ( near Athens). They were very helpful and did good work and even lent me a tool.

Bmw stopping sales in us

The notice covers both new and used models, and specifically lists the BMW CE 04, an electric motorbike, as the only model still for sale from the compa...

Re: Rusty Tank Cleaning

I’ve used acetone or methyl ethyl ketone MEK. Both very poisonous and flammable.. be careful. Length of chain works well as the internal abrasive. Nuts and bolts or screws also work, but you have to count them before and after.

Weird spark problem

1975 r9/6. Was running in the fall. I had trouble getting it to start now (yes, fresh gas). It starts on the right cylinder but the left doesn’t fire UNLESS I pull the left cap off and set it on the plug lightly. Then it runs smoothly. If i push the cap on the plug , it starts misfiring. I just figu...

Re: R60/6 right carb keeps running dry

All good advice from the others. I had a similar situation. The bike would run fine for awhile then would quit. I found that a piece of tank liner was floating around and would intermittently float down to the petcock and close off the gas. Once the engine died and the pull of the carb stopped, it w...

Also, it wasn’t as simple as giggling the wires. I tightened down a few.

Re: 75 r90/6 not charging

Success I think. I checked jiggled all the wires. The voltage now goes up to 14.5 and stops there AND the gen light goes out! Must have fixed itself…..thanks for the input. Now for a cold ride.
