Vintage BMW Motorcycle Owners

Kurt, as I remember, those mag wheel conversion kits were in the $500-600 range back around 1975-76. I never saw one installed on a bike back in the day - and I was in a pretty busy BMW area.

Hey Jeff, thanks for the note. You see the Lester wheels quite often, but the Morris wheels that you have don’t show up quite as often. I remember Butler & Smith offered them in their accessory catalog. Share some photos if you don’t mind.

Does anyone have literature or other information about KUMA cast wheels for BMWs? These are a 1970s German made aftermarket accessory.

Here is a view of the magazine cover. April 1976. I have an old Butler & Smith R90S racer, and have been following Eric’s story about #163, looking for clues about mine.
