R60 Boston to Gaspe camping trip

I put this in another section, sorry to duplicate. Planning a camping trip to the Gaspe Peninsula, beginning south of Boston in about 2 weeks. Wondering if there are any members near any stops where I was going to overnight that would be open to yard camping/and or camping recommendations. Non drink...

Odometer diagnosis

The worm gear that drives the brass gear was out of adjustment. However, when adjusted, it began to walk out the shaft. I've read in other posts that JB weld or similar has been used to fix the shaft to far grey gear. Or at least that is my understanding. Can anyone verify this as a fix? Also, it's ...

Speedo needle removal

Have successfully removed bezel. Trying to diagnose odometer not working. Don't know how to remove speedo needle. And, does the spring unwind?

Re: VDO bezel question - Odometer not working /2

Yes, I have read some of the posts. I guess I can make a go of careful removal and re-evaluate.

VDO bezel question - Odometer not working /2

Have people had good success taking the bezel off and then re-using? Or should I just get a replacement?
