Congrats on becoming the caretaker of an amazingly low milage bike with family lineage ... since day 1 ... very cool. Enjoy putting miles on it.

I also used Joes after Vech’s rec and am equally pleased with the result and prompt completion. Kind offer of your Speedo parts 👍

Re: Starter switch on/5

Craig, are you familiar with the "cricket" starter relay repair? I followed Snowbum's instructions and it resolved that issue on my 75/5. Honestly, it was a little intimidating for me, but the instructions were thorough and it went easier than I expected .. best of all, it worked. https://bmwmotorcy...

Re: Key Switch Advice

Had a chance to look into my issue yesterday and found a few easily remedied problems (thankfully). The key wasn't fully engaged (thanks Tommy) although it appeared to be. It required a significant push, so I added a drop of oil on the key and in the receiver and it engaged easier. I found the black...

Re: 1965 R60/2 Overhaul

The Cycleworks questions come up rather routinely due to poor communication, BUT, I have always received my orders and wouldn't hesitate to order again. It ain't no Amazon with the order on your doorstep before you log off, but the tools work and I am glad to have them.

Re: leaking drain plug R50

I had this problem too. Bought a used/new-to-me pan … and still had the slow drip at the drain plug. Purchased a new drain plug, chased the threads of the pan … and still had the slow drip at the drain plug. A little JB Weld over the brazed section of the pan near the drain plug and no more drip. Mu...
