Re: R60/2 Ugly Battery

I used gloss black vinyl wrap from Amazon for $9. Looks great. Easy to apply/remove.

R65 LS black exhaust coating?

Has anyone re-coated an LS exhaust (in black) ? What process did you use? Thanks.

Re: Schorsch Meier Sport tank cover

Thanks, gents. I consider the B&S and the Blue Moon covers as more of a 'bra' than cover. Maybe a true full cover doesn't exist.

Finding an old 'bra' style cover for cheap to use as a pattern would be a good start...

Re: Schorsch Meier Sport tank cover

Thanks for those pics. That is really close to what I am looking for. I've never seen one like that. Usually the "bra" style covers cover only the top of the tank.

Are there any maker's labels anywhere on that cover? Any idea where it came from?

Schorsch Meier Sport tank cover

I'd like to have a cover for my tank for multi day trips and general protection. I've had a look through the archives and found some info for a tank top bra/cover, but nothing for a full tank cover. Ages ago, I had a nice vinyl padded cover for a 90S that worked great. Kept the road grit off the tan...

Thank you. What size do you use? No issues using the stock rim?
100/90/18 for front and rear. No issues with stock rims.

Re: Grooved pavement = terrifying!!!!

Never ridden on Heidenau's, but my Avon RoadRiders don't squirm on rain grooves. I had an old Suzuki that did what you described... it's pretty spooky...

Re: Are these the correct switches for a 1967 R69s?

I have those same L&R switches on my '68 R69S. I would really like to change them out for the "blade" switches but the prices I see for them are crazy.
