Now that I have a better idea of the surface finish of the 77-78 spoke rims RS. Would you be able to measure the width of the blue pin stripes and distance from the rim edge to the outer edge of the pinstripe and send me the information.

Gathering the data so I can get my replica rims accurate.

The 77 R100RS spoke wheels had a silver/aluminum satin finish. I’ve done a bit of polishing in my years, but I’ve never been able to obtain a satin finish using that technique. Thanks for the response Craig. I'm familiar with multiple types of blasting; vapor, soda, glass beed, walnut, etc. But I'm hoping that someone has done a concours restoration and has the knowledge of the exact methodology BMW used on the Blue Stripped spoke wheels in 1977.
