Re: Where to get gas tank lining redone

If you use Por-15 get the small car tank kit for its quantity. I thought the recommended motorcycle quantity was not quite enough. Not a confidence builder for a lot of work. It was more suited for a Sportster’s ‘Peanut’ Tank.

But that was only my Novice, Ameuter, Master Piddlers opinion.

Transmission Oil Capacity ?

1957 R60 Transmission.

What is the transmission oil capacity ?

I’ve heard to the bottom of the filler threads somewhere (doesn’t sound right) to
1.7 Qts. (Doesn’t sound right either) 🤔

Aftermarket Windshield

I want to put a good windshield on a ‘57 R60 for the Winter. An aftermarket, Medium to Large Handlebar Shield, may do nice, while I hunt for a nice Avon Fairing. I’m just starting to make the bike a daily rider and can extend my riding season w/a windbreaker. I don’t like windshields, but I don’t li...

‘57 Pillion seat mount to luggage rack

Could someone send to me or post a few pictures of a pillion seat mounted to a stock luggage bracket on the rear fender on a
‘57 (+ or -) R 60.

Thanks

Long Engine Warm Up ‘55-‘69

I have heard from lots of places and people that the ‘55 -‘69 model engines take a long time to warm up. And my ‘57 R60 certainly does take a while to run smoothly. A good while. Of course air temperature determines length of satisfactory smooth running but even 70° and above require a longer warmup...

And here is as close as I’ve come so far to my goal. You may need to rotate photos 90°. Re: Mikuni Adapter on a Cool /2 Custom.

Fair question.
Hard cold weather starting (and leaky carbs) for a regular rider.

Re: Mikuni Adapter on a Cool /2 Custom.

Sorry for delayed response Riderg. I’m still in the prototype stage and still have to go back to the drawing board to satisfy my needs. I’ve installed the Mikunis and are in the process of tuning the carbs. You and everyone are welcome to use any information that I may stumbled upon. Many thanks to ...
