Steib trim

I recently acquired an S500 Steib. It is missing one of the long trim pieces which radiate from the front badge. I have learned that the replacement trim is attached with t bolts. My car has welded t shaped pieces which engage the trim. Questions: Does anyone know if the replacement type will fit on...

More spoke data

Today I measured the spokes on my 1936 R5.
I believe the spokes are original.

They measure 3 mm in the center and about 3.7 mm near each end.

The mark is located on top of

The mark is located on top of the lower frame tubes, on both sides. It is on the large tube, near where the smaller tube is attached. It is near the location where the kick start rubber bumper would be attached. The frame is in good condition, there are no signs that it has been molested. This is an...

Pre war frames

I found this mark on my R5 frame.
I was wondering if anyone else has seen these marks.
If so, is anything known about the marks?
There is one on each lower frame tube.
