I agree with the Curry color. That was my first thought.

Does anyone recognize this fairing?

A friend has this in his shop and doesn't know quite what it is. He never had the original bike it was on. It looks either /5 Curry or /7 Burnt Orange, but I can't tell. It has CM612 stamped in it.

Success I think. I checked jiggled all the wires. The voltage now goes up to 14.5 and stops there AND the gen light goes out! Must have fixed itself…..thanks for the input. Now for a cold ride. Nice sleuthing. I've seen this issue resulting from a bad connection. From my experience, things only fix...

Mal, Werner, The handlebar switchgear on the bike and in Werner's pictures are both correct /6 era switchgear. The /7 series moved the signal light switch to the left side.
