Re: 1967 R69S restoration

Almost 350 miles on the new engine and transmission. The bike is running great except when I get it up to around 70mph. At around 70 it starts to bog down like fuel starvation. The advancer is working fine, I’m running stock jets and Hoske exhaust. Should I consider a larger main jet? Any other cons...

Re: 1967 R69S restoration

Thanks guys. I got in touch with my pin striper. He said he could try to copy the original Enduro bag decals (stripes). His is concerned about two things ... the texture of the bags and the material used to mold them. It will be a couple of weeks before he can get to them but I will let you know how...

Re: Charging devices on a 6V R60/2 system

If you have a hot sidecar electrical socket you may be able to plug in there. I cant help you with how to manage the voltage.

Re: title issues

I agree with the Vermont registration. I've used it twice and it works great. It only took a couple weeks to get the registration and it transferred into a Virginia title with no issues.

Re: 1967 R69S restoration

I need your opinion of the "black" Enduro bags on the Dover White R69S. I had them on my black R60/2 and they look great but I can't use them when I'm running a side car. The plan is to keep the side car mounted on the R60/2 and use the Enduro's on the R69S. I'm a little concerned about th...

Re: 1967 R69S restoration

Question for you. I noticed that you used a battery box appropriate for the bike. What brand and model 6V battery are you using in it? I've tried to source one locally and cannot seem to find one. Shipping from the EU also seems to be a non starter - although about a decade ago I was able to source...

Re: 1967 R69S restoration

I went outside with hopes of producing a very nice drone video of the R69S. On my second recording however, the drone crashed. I lost the audio but was able to save the two videos. I hope this works.

Re: 1967 R69S restoration

The new battery and battery box is finally installed. It really cleans up the bike and adds to the vintage look. I added a fuse to the + side of the battery and installed a 20amp fuse. If a different size fuse is better please let me know.

Re: R67/2 Speedo

If you can't find one I recommend sending it to Joe's Speedometer. They did a great job on mine and I'm very happy. It looks brand new again.
