Bob, I actually have an article coming out this month in the magazine about the magdyno. There is also a great write up on the magdyno in our library. I will upload my English conversion as well.

I was watching the Mecum auction with wonder as I saw the market as a whole is down. Most of the motorcycles are down but the BMW's are not pulling the money they were pulling previously. Now, I was not at the auction, so I did not see the motorcycles with my own eyes, but I still feel these prices ...

Attached are pictures of one that I recently pulled off my R 68 in order to put the Pentacom plate on from flyingtpot (which is an upgrade). Before I pulled it off I had the adjuster locked down and I put a spring on the end of the disconnected cable so the handle would work but it would do nothing....

I scanned both sides of the key in high res. I have attached those as well as measurements. Not sure what software you are using, but I recently copied an Eberspacher knob using Blender and printed it. It didn't come out as good as I wanted, but that was due to the printer that was used was not high...

Damon, I just checked my 1952 R 51/3 (early 1952) and my 1953 R 68 (early 1953) and both look like your right picture with the larger profile. My next newest motorcycle thats anywhere close to me is the R 50 S and that one has the narrower profile. This does not necessarily answer your question, but...

Hunt, if you don’t have Cleco fasteners start in the middle and work your way out. As you go you may need to drill the holes to make them perfect. Not as good as using Clecos but it still works.
