Re: Mzb power dynamo issues

Thank you both! I did as you instructed with the blue/white wire and the engine starts and stops. I will tidy up the wires and routing in the coming week. I was trying to watch the function of the key switch and am guessing that pushing the key in opens the contact, taking it out closes the contact ...

Re: Mzb power dynamo issues

James: I hate to be a pest but clearly you have good experience with this system. I mocked up the installation and was able to start the bike, but noted two issues that I could use some advice with: 1. As you predicted, taking out the key did not stop the engine. How did you wire a kill switch on yo...

Re: Mzb power dynamo issues

James: Thanks for sending those photos. Beautiful clean installation and great idea with the hollowed coil! I will proceed as planned and see if the bl/ws kill switch wire is necessary. Re: Mzb power dynamo issues

James: Thanks for your quick and thorough reply! I had the powerdynamo on my R50 and decided to put in on the R27 for the 12 V and overall cost( less than replacing an armature, regulator and centrifugal advance unit.) From your answer it appears that all I need to do is attach the two red wires at ...

Re: Mzb power dynamo issues

Hello: I did not start a new thread as my question is related. Presently I am in the process of installing a Powerdynamo 12 V system on my R27. All is going well yet I am confused on one issue: connecting the output from the new voltage regulator to the bike's original electrical system. It seems li...

Avon and R50/2

After reading this thread, numerous others, and contacting manufacturers I think the Avon Roadriders will be the best choice for me in that the front and rear can be the same size and they should be good on grooved pavement and bridge decks (these are part of most every ride I do) The question remai...

/2

Has anyone mounted the Conti Classic Attack radials on a /2, and if so what size(s) and how do they perform?
