After almost 2-1/2 years of parts scavenging rebuilding every component, the snow can’t leave soon enough. Fun project but happy it’s done.

From your picture, are you missing a bolt between your snorkels in the air box? If memory serves me right, that bolt holds the air box to the transmission and is not a blind hole in the transmission.

I tried my soda blast method on my carbs off a 93 RT and it did not work. Had to resort to acid and a brush. I was surprised that the soda worked so well on one set of carbs, but not the other. Just when you think you have everything figured out….

I never had any problems with the fit after installing a helicoil. I just checked for fit and there is a little more play at the start. I used soda blasting (baking soda) and it made my carbs look like new. If you have a blast cabinet and use abrasive media, make sure it’s ALL vacuumed out. Wash with soap and water and dry immediately.
