Are you interested in selling the 1968 R50/2 ?

Re: 1967 R69S rough running between 40 - 55mph

15Mph seems like a broad rough patch. Have your wheels been verified as straight and true? Particularly the front. Does it matter what great you’re in? Are you silent blocs original up front?

Re: R26 cruising speed

That sounds miserable on an R26 or R27 but the R51/3 sounds like a terrific choice. If it were me, I'd take that bike again this year! Why mess with success?

So what is the Nest Chase? I'd love to hear more about it.

Re: R26 cruising speed

“2-up cruising speed on an R26…” lol that’s rich. But seriously.. once you get her going.. provided you’re on a flat road or significant down slope, maybe 40-50mph.. but the singles aren’t exactly great for 2-up riding. Now if you weigh 100lbs and she weighs 50lbs, you may be able to grab a bit more...

Re: running rich

I got about 2 years out of a set of Vech’s plastic floats. At the end of this season I noticed a change in the tone of my engine as I headed home from a short ride. I pulled apart my carb to discover my right side float was half filled with fuel. I guess I’ll go back to brass but for the price I hop...

Re: Looking to buy an Airhead R90S - first time buyer

Well that’s a relief. I might suggest you hunt for a bike being offered by a known enthusiast with a well known history. It doesn’t sound like you’re looking for a project and most vintage bikes will eventually fall into this category. That being said, for your first foray, I’d encourage you to get ...

Re: Crush Washers

I’ve been told that aluminum crush washers are softer and require less torque to effectively seal than copper so that’s what I use.

Thoughts from the group?

Re: Looking to buy an Airhead R90S - first time buyer

Well we haven't heard back from the OP and I sure hope that isn't because he's busy fiddling with his new "R90S". I will be curious to hear if he decided to bring this one home or pass.
