Beeming the Road 2020 🗓 🗺

Event is cancelled! You are invited to join a “rolling rally”, from my home in Glenmoore, (eastern) Pennsylvania for a three day BMW Vintage Motorcycle Owners ride to the RA Rally in NC. The RA Rally is from Sept 17-19, 2020, in Waynesville, NC at the Haywood County Fairgrounds.  Please join the Vintage BMW Motorcycle Owners on this ride. Or simply join us for our nightly dinner at 7 PM, or our 7 AM breakfast if that works for you.

Departure will be from my home Tuesday Sept 15, at 8 AM. This will be a “Rolling Rally” not a structured group ride, so you can ride with whoever you choose, on whatever you wish, for however long you wish, and get off and rejoin the ride as you desire. We will be “Beeming the Road”, there will be few interstate miles ridden.  We will have daily stops for dinner and breakfast at a designated location, you make your own arrangements for a hotel or campground, some options are below. Details and an itinerary are below as well, but will also be posted on Facebook and Twitter.

The mileage for the trip will be 761 miles to the RA Rally, each day’s mileage is about 250. If you email me, I can send you the route in Garmin GDB or a generic GPX file. The above statement makes me sound so “techie” qualified, but I cannot assist you … all I can do is forward you an email! A helpful friend, Earle Bare, set up the route; he is a routing expert and travels these roads all the time with his posse of miscreants.

NOTE: My house is located on Curd’s Way, just off Chalfant Rd, so come down Chalfant Rd to the 4th road, turn left before the mailboxes onto Curd’s Way, first drive on the right, tan with white trim, #140 is my house.

You are invited to camp at my house the evening of Monday Sept 14 or stay at a local hotel. All are welcome to tour my basement BMW motorcycle mini museum, but we will “clutch out” at 8 the next day, Tuesday, so allow time for your visit well before our 8 AM departure.
