19th Annual Ride To Work Day


The 19th annual Ride to Work Day will be held on June 21, 2010. Ride to Work Day helps demonstrate how these vehicles make parking easier and help traffic flow better. Motorcycle and scooter riders seek improved employer recognition and support for this form of transportation, and more public and government awareness of the positive value of riding. The organization advocates and supports the use of motorcycles and scooters for transportation, and providing information about everyday utility riding to the public.

39th Annual AMCA Fall National and Swap Meet

If you are restoring an antique motorcycle, looking to purchase a bike, or just interested in old bikes you should attend our meet and join your nearest AMCA chapter. The 2009 meet packed over 570 vendors into 880 vendor spaces covering about 13 acres for your shopping bliss. Most likely you will find your special part here or at least meet some people who will direct you where to find it. Visitors report the Chief Blackhawk Meet is one of the largest Antique Swap Meets in the USA!

Presented by The Loonie-tic BMW Riders of Quinte West, and to be held in Centennial Park in Trenton. At the gate the cost is $45 Cdn. Pre-registration by midnight July 31st, $40 Cdn. This includes rally pin & rally mug for the first 250, 2 nights of camping, hot showers, 50/50 drawing, field events, flea market, door prizes, seminars, and a Sidecar Show and Shine on Saturday. Friday night hamburgers or tube steaks, Saturday morning free breakfast, Saturday evening steak dinner, and bottomless coffee/tea/hot chocolate and soft drinks.

33rd Annual Dan'l Boone Rally and Vintage/Classic Ride-In

Three states, one rally! Come join us again at the KOA Campground in Boone, NC for the best riding anywhere. Rain or shine ride NC’s Blue Ridge Parkway and High Country, Southwestern Virginia and Northeastern Tennessee. Welcome all Vintage and Classic riders. Dual sport routes are planned.

The ride is open to all bikes built before 1989. Register 9 am -10 am at the Museum then travel approximately 70 paved miles through scenic Barry County. Lunch stop at half way point (purchase on your own). Show your bike on Sunday at the Gilmore Car Museum’s 14th Annual Vintage Motorcycle Show and receive an additional 5 points toward your score.

The venue is located one mile east of the Taconic Parkway on Route 199 in Milan, NY. Clean restrooms, hot showers, covered pavilion, swimming, boating and fishing lake, fields, hiking trails and many great local riding roads. Saturday night steak dinner included in rally fee (ONLY for those whose pre-paid pre-registrations are postmarked by 15 June 2010). Restaurants and stores are nearby. Cooking and campfires permitted. Informal swap meet, vendor spaces no extra charge.
