10th Annual Surf City Tech Day

Surf City (Santa Cruz, CA)

The Surf City Tech Day is a spring tradition. Join the VBMWMO, the Airheads and the R90S Sport Owners Club members at the home of Darryl Richman for food, drink, bench racing and maybe even a bit of BMW maintenance. Drinks and a lunch entree will be provided; please bring a potluck appetizer, side dish or dessert to share.

There will be plenty of room to work on your bike, including two lifts. Regular hand tools, some specialty tools (airhead exhaust nut spanner, Ed Korn's Many-in-One /2 engine tool) and a few air tools available.

Maine European Motorcycle Meet

The Maine European Motorcycle Meet is a wonderful weekend celebrating the art, engineering and music of European and British motorcycles. Hosted by Sunday River Ski Resort in Newry, Maine, this event which started as a one day BBQ has grown to a weekend long event that attracts folks from all over the US and Canada.

22nd Annual Great Chicken Rally in Rocket City

Each Spring, hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts descend upon the Rocket City to attend the Great Chicken Rally. Eat, ride, dance, sleep, repeat! Three nights camping, BBQ Thursday, pancakes each morning, smoked chicken, Friday evening meal, and Saturday, lunch and dinner meals. Sides will vary. Free coffee, tea, lemonade, popcorn, and peanuts. Continental breakfast on Sunday morning.

This will be the 3rd year for the vintage bike show with awards to be given. Contact the rally chair at BamaBMW@aol.com for information about the bike show.

Vintage Motorcycle Racing (USCRA)

New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Loudon, New Hampshire

The United States Classic Racing Association is the oldest vintage motorcycle racing organization in the United States. This New England and Mid-Atlantic states based group is dedicated to the preservation of the traditions and rich history of two-wheeled competition.

Vintage Motorcycle Classic Event at Road America

Will Stoner will be sponsoring the Vintage Motorcycle Classic swap meet at Road America this summer. The swap meets will feature all brands of motorcycles, parts, literature, memorabilia and accessories. Sharing the spotlight at the events will be vintage motorcycle shows. The shows are open to all bikes 1990 or older, with awards in over ten classes up for grabs.

First (and last!) R90S Rally

The rally will have food, rides by Todd Trumbore, R90S restoration by Rob Caso and Mac Kirkpatrick, pictures by Jeff Whitlock, commemorative T-shirts for sale by Larry Phillips. There will also be long distance and other awards by John Yee.

Tent space and shower facilities are on site. Hotels are in the area...check in the towns of Downingtown, Lionville, and Exton.

Lots of fun for all. Donations are accepted to defray the costs.

38th Annual BMW MOA International Rally

11th Annual Riding into History Motorcycle Concours d'Elegance

World Golf Village, St. Augustine, Florida

Presented by the BMW Motorcycle Owners of Northeast Florida, this event freatures 300-400 antique, vintage, race, and custom bikes from all over America. In addition to the bikes, there will be exhibitors, dealers, food, entertainment, and exhibitions. Along with the bike display, there is a charity ride and a biker's ball.

This year, Clement Salvadori is the Grand Marshall. Clement has been riding motorcycles most of his life and throughout the world with over a million miles traveled. He is a well respected author and currently writes for Rider Magazine.
