I found these very nice Ikon shocks that are specially made for the R90S at one of Germany's premiere airhead specialty supply stores, Motoren Israel, for $500.

Re: R90S style shocks

Also Bobs BMW here in the USA has a very similar shock for just $300, sadly I didn't discover this one before ordering the Ikon.

Re: R90S style shocks

Hello all - I'm looking at a '74 R90S and the seller sent me a few pictures. Does anyone know what brand of shock this is? It does not match the Koni on the left side.

Re: R90S shock = "Redwing"

All hail Lloyd Provin aka Bud Provin at TheNickwackettGarage.com, he nailed it as a "Redwing", probably '70s era. Looking around on the 'net, I'm not seeing great reviews for Redwing shocks on road bikes, but may be okay for dirt bikes. Supposed to be the same company that made KYB shocks.
