Hello all,
thought I'd post some pictures of my R60/6. Spent just over 8 months doing a "frame up" restoration and these pictures were taken on her first real journey. We rode the length of Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge parkway down to Bryson City NC., trip started in Newark Ohio. Took 6 days camping along the way for a total of 1800 miles. Bike never missed a beat and was a pleasure to ride. Enjoy. Warren

R60/6
Hello Warren! I am in the Pacific Northwest (Chilliwack, near Vancouver). I am almost at startup stage on my own R60/6. It looks different than yours, though, with a Parabellum fairing and R75/6 engine. I wish I still had the original block. In my younger, stupider days I let it out of my grip...
I admired your photos. Very nice bike. I am sure it is a joy to ride. Sometime when my bikes look good enough I will upload pix too!
I also have an R60/2, original with 30,000 miles..
Regards,
Ken Cruise
thanks
Hello Ken,
I haven't been on this site in awhile and noticed your post. Thank you for your comments. Yes, the R60 is a joy to ride. I completed a "frame up" restoration on her last winter doing all the work except paint and striping. Even though I have an 07 R1200RT which is a great ride, the simplicity of the R60 amazes me. I've thought about finding a /2 myself. I love the look of the older plunger frames. P.S., you should post some pictures of your bike, I'm sure it looks great.
Take care, Warren
