Hello to all,

Prior to moving to Southern California I had my bike re-worked by the genius at Barrington Motor Works, Barrington, NH. Chris and his wife did a stellar job with the long list they had and the condition of my bike.

The only problem I had was I had the movers coming and the bike had to get shipped west before we could address the last detail. Transmission case is leaking in the back.

I am looking for a qualified Vintage BMW service person within a reasonable range of Cathedral City, CA that could take on this task.

I appreciate any information you can give me.

Thank you.

Leak transmission rear housing

John -

The only link I could find on the website was for Black Kat Motorwerks in Venice, CA.

is orange too far?

Irv Seaver BMW in Orange, CA might be able to handle this for you. The owner, Evan Bell, has one of the most prolific collections if vintage BMW's anywhere and has been intimate with these machines since the 50's.

Give Evan or his son Brian a call!

If you end up getting Irv Seaver to work on the bike, report back here to let us know how it went and if you would do it again. It would be good to add to the club's website other vintage bike services in the Southern California.
