New on forum. Hi. Purchased my 1960 R60 in 1963 and had it ever since. Still have bill of sale. $565 from Mike Abt in Chicago. Two years ago, after a few beers, bought a beautifully restored R27 on eBay. Now I love two bikes. I have Enduros on my R60. Just bought a like-new set on eBay (never been installed). Will they fit on my R27?

Thanks for your help, Tom

Enduros on an R27?

I have Enduros on my R69US, which I mounted first with the standard supplied mounts, and later with the improved Brooks mounts. I have an R27 on which I have not tried to install Enduros.

Here are some photos of Enduros on an R27, so it can be done.

However, it looks like the bottom mounting plates, which are a critical area of support, are not used, maybe because the /2 plates cannot be adapted to the R27.

The bags look like they are mounted only at their tops on the shock, and at their fronts on the frame. If so, they would be very wiggly.

I found an email from that bike's owner, and he says bottom mounts were used. But I think the mounts for a /2 would be highly visible, and not fit the R27, so perhaps little custom mounts were made. I have the person's old email address which may still be good. Email me using my VBMWMO address if you want it.

Greetings Allan,
Sorry to say both the bags and the bike have been sold, replaced by a 1995
R100Mystic with only 2800 miles on it, my wife's new toy. As far as the bags attaching, one bracket fits behind the shock and one forward on the frame and a large one on the bottom. Very solid.
