Very pretty! Can you tell us more about the bike and yourself? Where in Italy are you?

Hi Matteo!

I wasn't sure it was you! So, this R52 is your latest BMW? How did you find it?

It is a bit disjointed, I suppose. User BMW Italy is another Matteo from the Dolomites area in far northern Italy. In fact, he lives just down the hill from famous Passo Stelvio.

In 2008 I sold him an R62 motor and transmission that needed work. He and his father transformed it into a running bike. Unfortunately for the forum, he speaks almost no English. If your Italian is any good, you could have a nice conversation. My Italian is pretty much limited to tasty menu items. Still, I've visited Matteo twice now and he has an interesting collection of Miller and Rudge motorcycles. (Millers are an Italian brand from the 1930s that used Rudge motors.)

You should see their

You should see their workshop. It's a one-car width area under their house, but two cars long. In there is a workbench and a lift. Most of the rear of the garage has a heavy wooden shelf at about 4' so that about 6-8 bikes can fit under the shelf and another batch on top of it. If you have an interest in Rudges, you'd drool all over your keyboard.
