I am looking at two options for replacing my starter motor. Capital Cycle has a $165 motor, which has no specs or manufacturer stated on their website and Max BMW offers a Nippondenso Japanese-made unit, which has impressive specs including a much lower current draw than the original Bosch unit at half the weight, but at a hefty $345 price tag. Can anyone help with a recommendation here?

Rick Jones at Motorrad

Rick Jones at Motorrad Elektrik also offers the Nippon-Denso starter. Rick is a good guy to deal with:

EME offers multiple options by Bosch and Valeo:

Have the original starter

Have the original starter rebuilt by Rick Jones, about $100!
