Hi guys,

I bought a Pagusa solo saddle for my /2 from S Meyer.
For the first few months it just traveled up and down, but lately it seems to have quite a bit of lateral movement as well.
All hardware seems to be snug.

Is this normal?

The front t-bar has a fitting

The front t-bar has a fitting which is connected to a fitting on the frame via a bolt through the middle. That lets the t-bar pivot up and down as long as the bolt and bushing is tight to the fitting. The springiness of the seat is controlled by the silent block and where it's bolted to the frame. I'd check all bolts and connections.

The rubber bushing is cracked

It happened to me once. Check the rubber bushing in the shock eye of the front T-bar under the tank. The lateral movement of the seat is due to the rubber bushing being cracked.

I had once the same problem

I had once the same problem like you. If the t-bar's front bolt to the frame is not loose, It's only due to the the silent rubber block. Either is loose or cracked. I have changed it with a high quality one and is Ok now. You can check it in any shop selling car parts. Some parts are universal.

I pulled the tank and checked

I pulled the tank and checked the bolts, it must be a sloppy silent block.
Do you have a part number for a universal part? It must be cheaper than ordering from a BMW parts supplier.
