Hi all

ust a quickie to introduce myself. I am not a current owner but recently decided to look out for a vintage Airhead to indulge my interest. My last BMW was an R100RS which I bought new in 1978 from SGT Superbiking. Whatever happened to them, BTW? I did not have it for more that a year or so as a rather expensive three week trip to the Monaco Grand Prix in 1979 wiped me out financially. I replaced it in short order with a Kawasaki Z1300, also from SGT, which was a real statement. Of what? I am not so sure but I did enjoy it.

I have an interest in aviation, having flown a Citation for a GP2 team for a while and I also have a PPL(H). I want to acquire an R50/2 or maybe even an R69S. I am off to the Classic Bike Show tomorrow but I think the Club is not there this time?

I may need to ask the following in a new post. Anybody on here know what happened to Chas Coombe? I recall seeing a post, possibly by Robert Freeman, who said that he had sadly taken his own life? Not wanting to be morbid, but I did deliver papers to him as a paperboy.... Intrigued to know. I would be very happy to hear from any owners in Berks/Bucks/Oxon who have /2's Thanks

Well we have had a lot of GI

Well we have had a lot of GI including myself over the years in England/Europe. And USA is 40 times larger than England, (looked up) which means we have 40 times more people to buy them.
