Here's a treat for you horn nuts/historians. I've been trying to track down which brand and model of horns were put on BMW's during the years 1952 and 1953 with not much luck. I have this NOS Bosch FDF 6/3 and another repainted one which were included with my '52 R67/2 and '53 R51/3. I don't believe the FDF 6/3 is correct for 1952 but judging by the slip of paper within the box dated (4.53), it would be the newest model supplied by Bosch when my R51/3 was assembled on 13 April 1953! So, can anyone enlighten me as to what model Bosch, or Noris or Hella was supplying in 1952?

Thanks! Any idea what the letter/number codes mean. I'm pretty sure 6 means 6 volt.
