I inherited a powerdynamo unit on my R26. It has run sporadically, and more often than not, it does not start. When it does, it seems to quit after some period of time, much like a faulty coil. I have found some info on the web, but little about troubleshooting the unit. Are there any resources for testing the components?

Joel is the person that sells

Joel is the person that sells the Powerdynamo and does warranty work in the US. He also has spare parts he says.
joelrapose@frontier.com Powerdynamo.biz is their web site.
I just put one of these on my 69 R69S a couple weeks ago. There doesnt seem to be much trouble shooting to be done. But their site does have a lot of information. They say most of the problems come from spark plugs and plug wires.
