Hope some of you can provide information on this; I am attempting to get my 1963 R-27 into operational condition.
When I got the machine, there were some missing or unusable parts, one being the carburettor.

The existing carb is an incomplete Bing 2/27/2 installed in the photo which apparently was used on the DKW RT250 (presumably others as well)
I will continue to search for a correct carb, but in the meantime, am wanting to install an aftermarket carb of some sort.
Barrington's new R-27 manual suggests a Blitz from Ulis, but Ulis (and seemingly everyone else) no longer can provide one.
Another alternative is a type 53 Bing, but that is a very costly short term option. I am trying to avoid that one.

I understand that a 26mm Mikuni can be made to work. Does anyone have experience with this? , Information regarding model number, a workable throttle cable, manifold adapter, air box rubber connector would all be valuable information, as would sources.
Any and all information would be very helpful in making this conversion.
Kind regards,
Hugh Conway

R-27 replacement Carburettor

Just got a notice from Ulis. they have several Blitz carburettors in stock for R26 & R-27. Included throttle cable.
Bought one.
They will probably be sold quickly.
Thanks to those who PM'd me re used carbs.
Cheers,
Hugh
