Here's my socket wrench to turn the locknut. The screw driver fits thru it to hold the screw while the tool is used. It clears the housing thus allows for more motion. Saves the nut from damage with general type tools.

Idle mixture nut

I modified a 9mm craftsman wrench
It now has enough throw to tighten the jam nut without hitting the side of the carb

I just use an open-ended

I just use an open-ended wrench. Never really been a problem...it doesn't need to be that tight.

My 9mm is too "fat"... hits

My 9mm is too "fat"... hits the body. Guess I'd have to grind to down.
I like that photo of the tool in the first post. I think some of the old Japanese tool kits had such a tool as well.

idle screw lock nut wrench

I make them and can sell for $10.75 plus tax and shipping. I could put it in a USPO standard shipping pouch which is i think $2+
I did not plan to sell but several enthusiast that has seen it have asked me also to make it for them.

thank you. it was born out of frustration desiring to not damage the nut but tools are clumsy to use.

Or you can just e-mail me at: stagewex@icloud.com

Thank-you,

Thank-you Cliffhanger7. Got

Thank-you Cliffhanger7. Got mine in the mail a couple days ago and did an annual carb sync today. Very convenient rather than the small wrench that I have been using. Giving a couple as "gifts" as well.

Again, Thanks.
