I thought I would mention that anyone looking to replace or upgrade the printed circuit board in their instrument housing has the option to go with a LED system.

I received mine last night for my 1974 R90s and it took less than an hour to install. The original part is NLA btw.

Mine was still working after 140k but several repairs to the traces, copper leads over the years had me concerned on every ride.

Nice improvement to the overall lighting and no more worries about the GEN light bulb failing and causing a flat battery.

I'm not affiliated in any way with Kat, but the overall quality, packaging is impressive. They offer a new o-ring and gasket material as well for sealing the housing.

Email?

Can anyone in the US give me Kat's email address? The website doesn't want to let me access it, and I need one of these circuit boards in my life!

Kat has written an article in this month's 'The Airhead' about how this was developed. You wouldn't believe the problems she encountered and overcame. Fascinating reading.

All the effort to make these was well worth it in the end - the market's been crying out for something like this for years.
