I acquired this bike as part of a 4 bike deal. I was told it is a 1939 R61 or 51, the head badge is missing and the frame does not have any stamped #'s on it.
I have attached pictures with the engine #

Thanks
Anthony

I don't think it's an R51.

I don't think it's an R51. The side valve engine suggests an R61. That engine number maps to an R75WH...but the heads don't seem to match those for an R75WH. Not sure what to make of it...might be a franken-bike.

Franken bike

Yeah, someone else said the same thing about the bike.
They mentioned that it might not even be a BMW, maybe a Russian or Chinese knock off.

I think it a knock off, with nothing but intuition to guide me.

R61

This is an R61 - Heads are correct - not sure about the engine number - but mostly real R61 - Since the block has a waffenampt stamp - It is likely an R71 block.

Post more detailed pictures,

Post more detailed pictures, the fact that it doesn't have a frame number is not ok.
