Want to buy an air head maybe 82-93. Nada Says around 1984 is worth $5200 (excellent R100RT). But a 1992 is worth about $3915 (excellent R100RT). Why such a big difference in the 80s/90s. Newer should be more better....right? Better technology.

Sometimes older is better???

Sometimes older is better??? 1984 was the "last edition" Airheads, so there might have been a premium for that. Of course, we know BMW succumbed to the pressure the bring the Airhead back, so it wasn't the last edition. But some of those 1984 models got some extra bells and whistles. Maybe that's what brings the price up.

1984 was also the last of the twin shocks...that might have more appeal than the mono or paralever later models???

I had thought about the shocks. But just seems like a big difference to me in what they think costs should be.
