Hey I just scored a 1983 R65 with 12,000 miles here in NorCal and have been searching for a backrest/ cargo rack for the bike. Found a lead on a couple in PA- but the seller isnt sure if they will fit. Hoping to find out if one of these will fit and if not would love to find one that will.
Thanks!

Worth mentioning the seller

Worth mentioning the seller says the black one is for an R100/RT/RS/S thru 1984. He does not know what model or years the chrome one is from.

This is a Reynolds tour

This is a Reynolds tour rest...check this selection of pages for their brochure:

http://www.w6rec.com/duane/bmw/reynolds/index.htm

The #427 does fit the range of bikes the seller says. But according to the brochure, it appears that you might need the R160 and the R268. See if those numbers are stamped somewhere on the parts.

The catalog lists what fits

The catalog lists what fits the bike. If you have the for-sale backrest in hand, you could figure out quickly if it would fit or not.
