Hello all,

My barn find R 11 Series 1 seems to have some major transmission problem.
At some time in the log distance past the internal flange that holds the kick starter shaft took a major hit and has been welded.
Only a 1/4 in of slop so possible a bit much for the c3 tolerance bearings.
Also the case on the outside near the internal flange has been welded along with missing rear throw out bearing, wrong clutch arm, and missing bracket that holds the clutch arm.

My understanding in the Series 1 have the same engine and transmission as a R62...

So anyone out there have a Series 1 or R62... transmission or transmission housing collecting dust that they would like to sell?

Consider yourself lucky. My

Consider yourself lucky. My case was cracked between the two larger holes for the gear shafts. I'd gladly take your case over mine, (if this is the only problem Smile But yes, a messy fix still, but not impossible. Definitely an opportunity to make improvements to the original.

Looks like it was already welded in an attempt to fix. Funny thing about the kick start is that it rotates in that bose on the casting aluminum. There's no bushing. Mine was luckily not broken but it was enlarged. I ended up putting a bushing in there and grinding down the shaft.

If you want suggestions for fixing it, let me know. If you want to sell it, let me know. I also have some stuff I could possibly trade you.

New bushings

I am going to be machining new bushings for my transmission.
Anyone have thoughts on bushing to shaft clearance.
