I recently acquired a R65 and recommissioned it put on about 80 miles and noticed that besides having problems with ethanol gas, has a broken spoke in the rear wheel. So it it safe to ride ? or do I need to source an expensive used wheel ?

It's your butt. I can't imagine I'd feel comfortable riding around with a known crack in the wheel.

If it were my bike, I'd replace it. Not worth the risk. You also have to wonder why it broke...maybe the rim is severely bent. At any rate, you can hang it on your wall.
