Can anyone tell what year era this might be.....or if its a replica.....or anything..?

I can't find a data tag anywhere on the bike......

Its been sitting for 5 years in a parking garage where I live here in Dubai. A friend and I are thinking of taking it to the DMV and getting it licensed and permitted. It has already come back as a no tag, no owner vehicle. Which in the UAE means someone had to flea the country for some reason....and left it.

I'm no expert, but google

I'm no expert, but google Chang Jiang motorcycles and you'll find many images similar to the this bike. Often times people rebadge a CJ motorcycle and try and pass it off as a BMW R71.

Thanks. All the pictures

Thanks.

All the pictures don't really have any close-ups. I need to try to find out what to look for to be able to tell if its a real BMW R71....

Are they worth anything in great shape and run perfect?

Or are they pretty much a joke...?

You should be able to buy a new one for that money.
B.E.M.W. in England sell them starting at £3455.00 and he has some new 1957 models in stock.
Here's a link to the manufacturers website - http://www.chang-jiang.com/bmw/welcome.html
